ATLANTA RUNNING TRAILS

This is a gem of a park.  There are a couple of steep hills so be careful when you go down them.  This 254 acre site has about 6 miles of trails.  Most of which are of fairly good footing but not usually wide enough for 2 abreast.  This is a much overlooked site for runners, however, it is one of the best off-road paths in the Atlanta area.
Not more than 50 yards from the parking lot turn right and keep to your right for the easiest trip up the hill (it's a tough hill), once up the hill you will enjoy quite a view of the surroundings (in the winter) and you will be on the main trail.  There is a trail map at the trail head and at some trail intersections.

As are all of the other parks in the CRNRA
, this is a special place.  Life is short, check it out soon.

Directions:  From Atlanta, take GA 400 north to the Holcomb Bridge exit (take the 2nd of the 2 exit ramps-head west toward Roswell).  Take the first left (Dogwood, there is a stop light at this intersection) and follow Dogwood, it changes names to Riverside Road.  Look for Park entrance on the right, it is just before you get to Roswell Road.  Except for the large brown sign, it is easy to overlook the entrance, it is nothing more than a one lane road that quickly disappears into the woods.

Parking:  Use the directions above.  This is the lot you want for trail running. More on parking.
