Located on a peninsula along Lake Allatoona, this is Georgia wilderness mixed in with all the amenities that has made this a very popular State Park.
There are 4 trails: Homestead Trail-5.5 miles, Sweet Gum Trail-3.5 miles, White Tail Trail-1 mile, Lakeside Trail-1 mile (see Trail map).
Directions: (This one is real easy)
Go north on I-75 to exit #123. Turn right. Go about 2 miles. Park at the Visitor Center. The two big trails start at the Visitor Center. Homestead Trail Starts just to the left of the Visitor Center. Sweet Gum Trail starts from the right of the parking lot (near the tennis courts).
Parking fee: $2.00 (Wednesday's free)
