The Nature Preserve at Cochran Mill Park puts on a 5k trail race in September (Wild Trail Trot). Call 770-306-0914 for more information.
Early every Fall the Georgia State University Cross Country team sponsors an invitational that includes an Open division. The Open runners compete with the collegians. The distance varies from year-to-year however, the site is always the Georgia Regional Hospital grounds.
The Atlanta Track Club sponsors a couple of excellent cross country races. Both are usually held at Piedmont Park. The first takes place in October, the other will be in early December.
