A very popular recreational spot with the locals. This well planned and utilized facility boasts a wide trail that loops around the perimeter of the park, passing by many of the athletic fields. Some of the wooded passages are quite lovely.
Parking can sometimes be a problem due to the volume of vehicles that pass the gate. The lot you will be looking for is closest to the park entrance. The trail entrance is well marked as is the trail.
On the downside, many segments of the trail are paved. On the upside, this is a very safe (during daylight hours) place. Also great for people watching.
Directions: From Atlanta, take GA 400 north to the Holcomb Bridge exit. Take the 2nd exit that loops you back over GA 400 and takes you N.W. Go less than a mile and turn left onto Warsaw Rd. Warsaw Rd changes names to Nrocross St. Follow Norcross St. and turn right at Frazier (there is a stop sign at this intersection). Turn right onto Alpharetta St. Go one block and turn left onto Woodstock Rd. Go just less than 1 mile to the park entrance on the right.
