So many new subdivisions in north Fulton/South Forsyth Counties, so few parks. This is a welcome exception, although on the small side (42 acres). Providence Park is big on education, rock climbing and rappelling. Don't be fooled by the map that shows each trail as puny, once you get out on the grounds you'll find that all these puny trails connect and do add up to about a 1 mile loop. Ok, so this isn't very big. Also, the trails are sometimes difficult to follow, but it is so much better and safer than dodging the speeding traffic found on most roads.
Directions: From Atlanta take GA 400 north, exit at Windward Pkwy. head west and go about a half-mile and turn left on Westside Dr.(this road has several names-Union Hill Rd-Cumming St.), turn right on Main St. (Hwy 9) and then take first left onto Mayfield Rd.
